What you need to know about OFSTED
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They inspect services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. They also inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people.

Childminders are included in this and are regulated by Ofsted.
To work as an Independent Self Employed Childminder (not working with an Agency), we must be registered with Ofsted.
Ofsted Parents Poster
All Ofsted Registered Childminders MUST make this poster available to all those parents that we work with in providing childcare to their children.
​
Parents that I work with will find this poster displayed on my parents notice board in our welcome area of my setting.
