Children have access to their own toilet and hand wash facilities on the ground floor, off from the kitchen and located near to the playroom. There is everything needed to accommodate all their potty or toilet needs of children of all ages. We have potties, child sized seat for the toilet, steps up to the hand basin and toilet, a safety strap on the hot water to prevent burns, coloured hooks to hold their individual towels at the right height for them to utilise independently. These facilities are cleaned down and disinfected twice daily at either end of our day to prevent cross infection. Nappy changes however in order to maintain supervision of all children are done on the floor in the playroom so that I do not have to leave children unattended while dealing with a nappy.
